After Burners Warms Wisconsin Pilots & Foodies

October 2014 – After our first ever visit to Airventure last summer in Osh Kosh Wisconsin, Air Fare partner and veteran pilot Rob Schulte, made a quick fuel stop in Sheboygan. He was surprised and dismayed to walk into an empty FBO, as the large restaurant, Final Approach, was vacant. After exploring the beautiful space – original mural tracing the history of aviation, expansive two story window wall, three “big ass” fans, and at least four pellet stoves – he learned the former restaurant would soon re-open under a new name, under new management.

Luckily, the new AfterBurners on O run by veteran restaurateurs Chris and Sue Reichelt has already become a great local favorite and aviation destination spot. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the one-time owners of O’Neill’s Pine River Inn are satisfying customers with their twists on traditional Midwest cuisine. From his days at the culinary institute at Hyde Park, Chis is serving up Friday fish fry, Sunday brunch, as well as lunch and dinner. See the complete menu here.
